Chipperfield is situated between Bovingdon and Kings Langley. It is approximately five miles south-west of Hemel Hempstead and five miles north-west of Watford.

Chipperfield is a small, active village with a number of local shops, garden centres and pubs. There are also three churches and St Paul’s primary school, a village club and tennis courts. The village roads are bordered by an appealing mix of fields, gardens and woodland and there is an extensive network of footpaths and bridleways.

A highly-valued feature of the village is Chipperfield Common, which extends over 100 acres with mature woodland and several large sweet chestnut trees dating back to the 17th century. The village cricket club has a green and pavilion on the common, and The Two Brewers’ pub that sits adjacent to the common was founded in 1799.

Fortunately, the village has maintained its rural feel while also benefiting from the proximity to Hemel Hempstead and Watford with their shopping centres and facilities.

To the south of Chipperfield village are Croxley Green and Rickmansworth stations, which are on the Metropolitan Line to Baker Street. In addition, Chiltern Line trains stop at Rickmansworth twice an hour offering a fast service to Marylebone.
